Chloe woke up that morning from one of the worst nights sleep she'd ever have. Which really says something, seeing as the girl has been having psychic dreams sinceshe was a child. But this particular dream really bugged Chloe. She hoped that it wasn't a psychic dream. But she had an odd feeling it was. The dream was so strange and livid. Chloe groaned to herself and rolled out of bed. Her room was a lavendar color with a canopy bed and light wood furniture. It had an old timey feel to it, possibly because it was her mother's room when she lived here as a child. Chloe had always wondered what her mother was like when she was her age. Was she like her? Had New York changed her too much? Or had she always been this distant and closed minded? Chloe decided that she wouldn't tell Meme about her dream just yet. She didn't want to worry the lady. So, she got a shower and dressed in a red light cardigan and white tank top with some dark denim jeans. She wore matching red sandals to top it off. It wasn't anything fancy, but she wasn't really going anywhere that would call for a skirt at the moment. She was going to her favorite spot to think, which was the local creek. It was always such a beautiful place to think and take pictures.
She met Meme downstairs and sat down for breakfast. She wasn't exactly hungry, but Meme would force her to eat anyways. What shall you be up to today, dear? She asked in her soft and sweet voice. You could tell by looking at her that the lady has been through a lot and holds so much knowledge and wisedom. Chloe shrugged a little and waited until she didn't have a mouthful of toast in her mouth to speak. Her Meme was also very big on manners and respect. Don't let the sweet face fool you, the lady kept Chloe in line. I was actually going to go by the creek and take some photos. Its such a pretty day outside and I bet I can get some good ones. She finally said. Which was the truth. What Meme didn't know at the moment wouldn't hurt her too badly. Ahh well... I hope you take some time to have fun with your friends. The lady said. Chloe nodded, knowing that it would be great fun to hang out with someone her age today. She could use a little fun, actually. She smiled and got up, taking her Meme's finished plate as well and washed the dirty dishes before putting them on the dish rack. Her Meme didn't trust dishwashers because she's a firm believer that people are becoming to dependent on technology and robots would come and kill everyone. Her Meme gave her the go ahead to leave early. Chloe kissed Meme on the cheek and ran out the front door towards the creek with her camera bag on her shoulder.
When she got there, the place was pretty much empty. It usually was, particularly this early in the morning. Sometimes at night you'd catch some couple trying to be 'romantic' and rolling around on a blanket. And then in the afternoons some kids liked to play around out here. Right away, Chloe took out her camera and took a shot at a lily pad that was in the creek. It was pretty and it had a little bloom on it. She took a few shots of it, actually. She liked to test angles. A chill went up through her spine, but Chloe thought it might just be a gust of wind or something. She sat her small frame down against a large tree and decided to just sit there and think about her dream a little. If it were a psychic dream, which she had a strange feeling it was, then she would have to try to stop it, right? But she had never stopped a dream from coming true before.
